Club Photo-O Champs, Middleton Woods
RESULTS
A SIX way tie.
Burden retains some crumbs of the Fat Rascal, but has to share the rest with Stemp, Williams, Jones and Parkers. A late entry from Steve Webb was the only all correct answer, but he loses a point for missing the deadline.
Many thanks to everyone who had a go at this.
Entries were very good - only a few errors to my surprise.
Trophies to be awarded at the next club get together, if Betty's allows.

Ski photo-O on Ilkley Moor RESULTS!
Tie for top spot between David Williams, Peter Jones, Chris Burden and Christine Roberts. David and Peter got all the controls right, but lost marks for course drawing. The planner also allocated fairly random handicaps based on distance from the event.
Congrats to all the entrants. The Fat Rascal remains uneaten and will be decided by the Middleton Woods event.
Club Champs/National Photo-O event has started - Middleton Woods - Have a Go.
MapRun6
New Maprun App Launched
Maprun have launched the latest version of their app Maprun6. It is a separate app rather than an update to MaprunF with which it can coexist.
We recommend downloading the new app and using it for all future Maprun outings.
One of the major changes is enhanced responsiveness to GPS and improved tracking. It also improves MaprunG (Garmin watch) practical usability.

Tony Thornley Wins Mapper of the Year Award
Chichester Trophy for BOC 2019 Map
Many Congratulations to Tony Thornley who has won the Chichester Trophy which is awarded annually by British Orienteering for the best map by an amateur mapper. The judges recognised Tony's top quality map of Kilnsey and Arncliffe used for BOC 2019 scoring it highest overall on specification, cartography and presentation. The prestigious award should have been made at the BO AGM at the JK but obviously that had to be postponed. Tony's comments on receiving the award are on the BO website British Orienteering News Chichester Trophy 2019
A fuller story will be included in the forthcoming Aire Affairs.
