Classic orienteering at Holme Fell
Chris Burden's efforts in controlling the Lakeland event were repaid with a glorious day and superb orienteering. The rare challenge of having to interpret the brown lines on the map led to many mistakes. Parallel errors - mistaking one feature for another similar feature - were easily made. Clear attack points, augmented by good map reading and checking direction were the order of the day.

All Orienteering Fixtures in the UK are suspended for the foreseeable future. None of the events on our Fixtures list will go ahead until we are advised by British Orienteering following Government Advice that it is safe to do so.

How to join
To become a member of Airienteers you must also be a member of British Orienteering – the national governing body for the sport. You can join as a Senior member (aged 21 or older on 31 December of the membership year) or a Junior member (aged 20 or younger on 31 December of the membership year).
