Classic orienteering at Holme Fell
Chris Burden's efforts in controlling the Lakeland event were repaid with a glorious day and superb orienteering. The rare challenge of having to interpret the brown lines on the map led to many mistakes. Parallel errors - mistaking one feature for another similar feature - were easily made. Clear attack points, augmented by good map reading and checking direction were the order of the day.

The draw for our CompassSport Cup at Fixby and Bradley on 15 March has been made... We are in a six way tie with CLOK, DEE, DVO, EBOR and SYO. Quite a challenge, we'll need all hands on deck! Winner goes through to the final at Sutton Park. If SYO win the tie then the runner-up also goes through to the final.
