Thanks to ALL of you who ran at Clowbridge today.
Apologies for slightly noddy courses, but it was good fresh air on a nice day.
Provisional results have us second, only 7 points behind LOC. Well done to you all for an excellent turnout, and especially to Club Capt PJ for organising. If you still owe money, please pay AIRE asap, pref by BACS. A/c details from email@example.com.

Congratulations to AIRE Yorkshire Champions at Storthes Hall:
M21 Dave Murgatroyd, M35 Pauls Liepins, W35 Anne Maguire, W55 Gill Adams, W60 Shirley Wood, M70 Tony Thornley (list deduced from the results, apologies for errors or omissions - mail firstname.lastname@example.org with any corrections).
Rather scrappy Green course (M65/70) shown. Nice orienteering, but some gratuitous climb - I did 200m against the description sheet 120m - and not really bad routes……...
Airienteers would like to thank all the staff at the Temple Newsam estate and in particular Steve Worrilow, Estate Manager, and David Bradley, Farm Manager, for their friendly help and assistance in staging our two events last weekend.
In particular we are grateful for the estate allowing us the use of indoor facilities for registration and download, which made the events much easier to run. We would also like to thank Leeds Parks and Countryside department for the use of the estate for orienteering.
We hope everyone who came to the events enjoyed them and enjoyed the good Yorkshire weather!
Thanks go to Chris and Helen Burden who did an excellent job of organising the annual New Year's Day Event and Social, this year in Heaton & Northcliffe Park. There was a good turnout of all ages, many wearing festive hats, who enjoyed the slippery slopes and the opportunity to see in the New Year in good company. David Alcock won the chocs for visiting all of the controls in the 45 minutes, well done David!
Several Airienteers surprised Tom Crowther at his 100th Parkrun at Woodhouse Moor today to run with him or cheer him from the sidelines on his 80th Birthday. Tom's achievement was celebrated by all park runners before the off and a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday was sung. Congratulations Tom!
The Club will be putting in an order for AIRE kit on the 10th December. Note that this time round there is the opportunity to order long sleeved tops, in addition to the regular short sleeved, just what's needed in these plummeting temperatures! Click on the link for the info sheet. Tops will arrive early January.
The next copy date for Aire Affairs is 31st January. Please let me have your festive season stories, your event highs and lows and your New Year Orienteering Resolutions. If you are having a new year clear out, consider advertising some of that unused gear and donating the proceeds to our Junior Squad??
Airienteers gathered in Guiseley to celebrate the 80th Birthdays of Tom and Jeff. Old friendships were renewed over lunch and much animated conversation took place. Happy Birthday Jeff and Tom!
Congratulations to this year's Aire victors:
Alistair Broadest, Leon Foster and Val Gilleard
