A lovely evening at Riverside Gardens in Ilkley for a Spring Series Sprint Event. Photos are here.
A merry band of Airienteers headed south east for JK2017 at the Easter weekend. The sun shone on four days of varied terrain. Heritage Tractors and a pink Friesian cow figured as spectator controls!

Old and new members alike please check out the revised helper team list
and make a note in diaries/on calendars when your team is in action!
Top organisation and courses.
Beautiful weather (Liz you have the magic touch).
Excellent junior and coaching opportunities.
Rather too few kids, but good practice for the summer leagues.
Tremendous support from many AIRE volunteers - thank you all very much.
On Sunday we were 2nd in our heat, just pipped by CLOK. At the end of the day it came down to a difference of only 23 points out of over 2400. I think sheer weight of numbers for CLOK on their home territory counted for a lot but we also had 3 or 4 mispunches that might have closed that gap. A big thanks to all of you who represented the club. If you didn't manage to give me the entry fee on the day can you please transfer it direct to the club bank account (£10).
Club Captain Pete Jones
Sunday presented a few challenges: lunchtime drizzle=mud; route to the far start long and complex.
But not as long and complex as the courses.
AIRE runners who overcame all this were led by club sec David Alcock (1st Brown) and Jack Cooper (2nd Blue).
Over 30 AIRE helpers made the event possible - many thanks to all of you.
There was a good turnout of Airienteers in the Lake District for the British Night and Northern Champs last weekend. Congratulations to Laura King for becoming the W18 Night Champion and to Lucy Haines, whose third place in W18 gave her the Northern Championship crown. A number of Airienteers had top five placings.
