Many thanks to Leon for his course launching the first of the Autumn night series with an interesting new urban area. There were 32 controls to go for but over a large area with Railway and Dual Carriageway splitting that always looked like a tall order. Winners Quentin Harding and Alice Leake picked up 21 controls and 18 controls respectively.

Please be aware of the main roads through the area, particularly the ring road, the Northern section of which can only be crossed by the subway at the very north of the area, and the footbridge further south.

There are many paths marked on open orienteering map which are not passable on the ground. I have checked as many of these as possible and marked them with a red cross, but apologies in advance if one or two have been missed. If in doubt, stick to a road.

Please stick to all the Covid rules particularly 2m social distancing. Run wide round other pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders etc.. Run wide and carefully round all blind corners to avoid running close to unseen pedestrians etc.

Please don't linger by "controls" including the start and finish.
