Hope everyone enjoyed the new map at Holbeck Moor. I tried to have two sprint loops one around the housing estate in the NW and the viaduct arches (too good not to play with!), where there were a few dead ends and no-through routes to catch you out, and then a more complex set of loops around the Eastern estate and Holbeck Moor around the outside, where it was more about picking clean and fast routes.
The long leg was out of necessity (I originally did a few more legs playing with the terraced streets, but had to cut them), but I was pleased to see it also generated some discussion on route choice too.
Big thanks to Chris for putting out some of the controls and to Fay, Janet, David, Jonathan and Magnus for collecting controls and helping me tidy up. Thanks also to Leon for putting up the tent and helping set up registration.
See you all next week for the final summer event at Bramley Fall
Pre Event Info
On the Sprint Course there will be 3 SI controls numbered,1, 2,and 3, which will be visited in that order. They will be placed on random controls throughout the course. They must be punched, or sadly, you will be disqualified. All other controls need only be visited closely. We don't encourage touching of the controls by hand while covid is with us.
