    Further detail TBC

The course lengths below are given as the actual optimum running distance and climb on each course. These courses have suggested categories assigned based on the Yorkshire Urban League (YUL) guidelines. You are welcome to enter any course, but you may not be eligible for the YUL if you enter a shorter course. Note that Course 4 is the only course which under 16s on the day of the race can run as it does not cross roads.

Combined Times to be used for determining YUL points, but ranking points will be given for each race

If you are under 16 on the day of the race this is the only course you can run unless you are accompanied by an adult on the other courses, anyone aged 16 or over can run any course.

The age categories for each course are aligned with the Yorkshire Urban League for each M (Men) and W (Women) category:

    Young Junior (YJ) = 12-

    Junior (J) = 16-

    Open (O) = 18+

    Vet (V) = 40+

    Ultravet (UV) = 65+

Mapping notes and out of bounds:

Very narrow pavements are generally not mapped.

Black 'X' symbol indicates large static object (e.g. colliery wheel, statue or wagon)

Please note that all courses will encounter areas of out of bounds, competitors caught crossing or entering these areas are at risk of disqualification and could threaten our future use of the area. The two types of out of bounds areas as marked on the map are olive green - this is usually a flower bed or garden of a house, and purple hashing - this is an area that for safety and permissions we are not permitted to enter.
