Directions / Parking
The event will be in Northcliffe Park off the A650 in Shipley.
Parking is in the public car park on St Paul’s Road, off the A650 Bradford Road, Shipley, BD18 3EW. (No parking charge on a Sunday – it does have a height restriction). If this is full then ASDA car park (2 hours limit) is close by (go down Ivor Way opposite the car park) and there is parking on the local streets – but please be aware that some streets are resident parking only.
Parking will be signed from the A650 and the route to registration will be taped from the car park. Please take care on all roadside parking and when crossing roads.
Shipley Station is 15 minutes walk from Northcliffe Park and has direct trains
from Bradford, Leeds, Ilkley and Skipton. Shipley is also served by many bus routes. The Shuttle Service from Bradford to Keighley passes by the park gates.
Registration & Start Times
Registration will be located in the park. Please allow 10 to 15 minutes to get to there – the start will be less than 5 minutes away from registration.

Brown, Blue, Green, Light Green, Orange, Yellow, White.
Orange, Yellow and White are all at 1:5000
The White course will follow some vegetation boundaries. There will be white smiley faces placed along the relevant legs to reassure competitors they are going in the right direction
On the White and Yellow course maps the control descriptions cover a small part of the map legend. There will be blank copies of the map at Assembly with the full legend for competitors to look at beforehand if needed
All other courses are at 1:7500
Unfortunately there will be no
Park and woodland with some steep sided valleys. Part of this area is owned by Heaton Wood Trust and is out of bounds as is Northcliffe Golf Club. These out of bounds areas divide the orienteering area into two, however there is a connecting path. Please keep out of the out of bounds areas. No junior courses will use any roads; some of the longer courses use a short stretch of road to the west of the area.
Be aware that this area is used by the public – please be considerate.
Dogs welcome on lead, or at heel and under control
