The series is designed to cater for beginners of all ages.
All children and young people can take part in the events.
We also welcome adults who would like to try out the sport
Parkland venues are chosen so suitable courses can be planned in a safe environment.
Meet up for refreshments and chat in Tarquins Tea Rooms in the park
A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. Parents are expected to shadow young and/or inexperienced children.
We will be located close to the Bandstand off the Thrift Way (Lidl) entrance.
Please use town centre parking. Be aware of retailers time restrictions.
There are many regular buses to Bingley main street and Bingley station is circa 200m from assembly.

We will be ready to see you from 1:00 pm
When you arrive you will receive a “Dibber”, an electronic timing chip, given the opportunity to look at the map before you start and an AIRE coach will be on hand to assist to talk you through what to do and answer any questions. The course start will be adjacent. There you receive the map for your course, and you can start at intervals in your own time.
You can start at any time up to 2:30pm.
Cafe
Join us in Tarquin's Tea Rooms (in Myrtle Park) from 2:30pm for refreshments and a chat.
Entries are £1 for each person for their first course. After that that there is no charge for running more courses.
For youngest competitors we provide three Short (less than 1km) courses. Do one and we tend to find a lot of the kids end up doing all three!
For older children and those that have attended earlier events in the series there will be a Medium course. There will also be an urban course.
All SHORT courses stay inside the park.
The MEDIUM course cross the River Aire and uses the woods to the west, before returning to the park. It does not cross any roads.
The LONG course is an URBAN course. This course leaves th park and uses the streets around the park it is therefore for over 16's only. Under 16's may do this course only if accompanied by an adult.
