High viz clothing is required as a small part of course is in urban area.

Directions / Parking

Parking and registration at the Myrtle Tavern, Parkside Rd, Meanwood, Leeds LS6 4NE. Registration will be inside the pub and all welcome to stay for a drink afterwards.

Ideally enter before the event. Online entries are open until 7:15. If not, correct cash payment or Helper Voucher (no contactless payments).

Course Information

45 minute and 60 minute course. 40 maps available.

All controls will be kites in the park and woods. No controls to punch. Just bring a pen to tick off what you have visited. 10 points each control. Penalty points for each minute after time.

Terrain Description

Park and woodland. Will be muddy !

Dog restrictions

On a tight lead please.

Safety and Risk: A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.

Insurance: Everyone is welcome to take part in this event. However, from 1st January 2026, participants who are not members of British Orienteering will no longer be covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered by our insurance. By entering any event from 1st January 2026, you acknowledge that you are taking part at your own risk. British Orienteering’s public liability insurance used to cover non-members at events before this date.
