A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.
Although there is a car park on Green Lane in the park it is often full. You are advised to park on surrounding streets and walk into the park. Assembly and start will be adjacent to the car park, look for the AIRE feather and green tent.
We will be ready to see you from 1:00 pm
When you arrive you will receive a “Dibber”, an electronic timing chip, given the opportunity to look at the map before you start and an AIRE coach will be on hand to assist to talk you through what to do and answer any questions. The course start will be adjacent. There you receive the map for your course, and you can start at intervals in your own time.
You can start at any time up to 2.30 pm.
Entries are £1 for each person for their first course. After that that there is no charge for running more courses.
There will be three short courses (1.0 to 1.6km), two medium courses (2.0 to 2.6km) and one long (3.0km) course. All courses leave the open park area and head into the surrounding woods. The medium and long courses are more technically demanding and are aimed at older juniors and adults.
Open parkland and wooded valley with some contour detail. Many paths and tracks. Following recent wet weather the paths and woods will likely be wet and muddy.
Dogs on a short lead please. Please clear up any mess.
