A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.
The nearest train station is Frizinghall. Lister Park is a ten-minute walk uphill from the station (up Frizinghall Road). Buses run along Keighley Road. If you are driving, the postcode is BD9 4NS, and you can drive into the top entrance, where you'll see the AIRE tent and banner; you should be able to park on the side of the inside road within 100m or so of the start.
We will be ready to see you from 1:00 pm
When you arrive you will receive a “Dibber”, an electronic timing chip, given the opportunity to look at the map before you start and an AIRE coach will be on hand to assist to talk you through what to do and answer any questions. The course start will be adjacent. There you receive the map for your course, and you can start at intervals in your own time.
You can start at any time up to 2.30 pm.
We suggest a cash donation of £1 per person for the day.
For youngest competitors we provide two short (700m) courses. Do one and we tend to find a lot of the kids end up doing both!
For older children and those that have attended earlier events in the series there will be two medium (1.0-1.1km) courses and two long (1.3-1.9km) ones.
All courses stay inside the park.
Open parkland
Dogs on a short lead please. Please clear up any mess.
