A full risk assessment will be carried out. Competitors should be aware that there are a number of downhill mountain bike tracks and therefore be need to be aware of bikers coming downhill. Prominent mountain bike tracks are shown with the ride symbol. They are usually runnable, but look out for mountain bikes. Because these tracks come and go, you may find some which are not on the map. Please note that the yellow course does cross these tracks in a couple of places. In February we are not expecting them to be used very much.

Some moorland and bracken covered slopes, rocky in places, with a dense path network. Steep slopes in places. The area is very popular with walkers and mountain bikers. The majority of paths are marked but there are many unmarked seasonal paths. Whilst most of the bracken is dead and flattened by the recent snow, there are some areas where dead bracken remains an obstacle - these are not marked on the map.
Not in school grounds unless in the car. Not in assembly. Ok on the moor
