Organisers comments

Thank you all for coming. I hope you enjoyed a rare decent day even if the recent deluges had left the moor full of muddy puddles.

The age/gender bonus seems to have worked out reasonably well. In the results I have given a few younger juniors a slightly more generous bonus than they got on the day as I only went down to M/W14 in my original formula.

Someone asked me about the best route. The age/gender allowance was based on:

24 controls: RUWX YVTS PNKG DABC FEHJ LQMZ

20 controls: RUWT VSPN KGDC FEHJ LQMZ

16 controls: RUTV SPNK GDFJ LQMZ

Easier to see when you have time to think about it! I regret I don’t know what order the winners took the controls, but they might add it to the website?

Jack Wood got the most controls, but failed to hand his control card in, so his top placing may or may not be right. I had a bet with him that he wouldn’t get all the controls and I think I won it.

A big thank you to everyone who helped on the day and/or collected controls.

Someone left a blue hoody top outside the registration tent. I have it if you want to reclaim it.

Good luck for orienteering in 2016.
