Directions / Parking

Assembly will be at the North end of the park - ///sand.muddy.veal

On road parking on Parkfield Avenue & surrounding roads. Buses 24, 65 and 74 stop outside the North end of the park, or buses 2, 3 and 3A at the South end (10min walk through the park to the start). 2.5km walk from Leeds Train Station.


Registration & Start Times

Registration from 6.15 -7.10. Starts 6.30-7.15

Courses close 20.15. For those of you who are new to this - course close means that you need to report back to assembly by that time so that we know that you have finished safely. Controls will be collected in from 20:15.

If you are with a running club and plan to come with a number of club runners please contact the organiser so that they can ensure there are enough maps.

Sprint Course for Seniors

Short (orange) course for more experienced juniors, and Seniors who don't wish to do the Sprint.

Provisionally the courses will be approx. 3.7km 55m climb for the sprint, and 2.4km 35m climb for the shor

Important Information

Safety and Risk: A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.

Insurance: Everyone is welcome to take part in this event. However, from 1st January 2026, participants who are not members of British Orienteering will no longer be covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered by our insurance. By entering any event from 1st January 2026, you acknowledge that you are taking part at your own risk. British Orienteering’s public liability insurance used to cover non-members at events before this date.
