Sprint event
A long and a medium course. Juniors under 12 on the medium course must be accompanied by an adult.
SI for start, finish, and three random controls
Assembly is in a small parking area which is used also by the houses on Moorfields. Parking for competitors is best on the local streets.
Registration from 18:15 to 19:00
Starts 18:45 - 19:30 (or as soon as the course is ready)
Courses close 20:15
If you think you will take a long time please start as early as possible. Controls will be collected in from 20:15 at which time all competitors should have finished and downloaded. Please do not forget to download

Entry on the day the day via Racesignup up to 17:00 or contactless payment, cash payment or Helper Voucher. If you want a free race on the day then volunteer to collect controls in at the end. Contact the organiser for the helper code before you enter online.
Senior BOF members £4; senior non-BOF £5; juniors £2. Dibber hire £1 (BOF have increased their levy for Non-BOF members to £2.50 per event. We are now putting a supplement of £1 to go towards that levy).

Before attending any orienteering activity all participants should self-assess for Covid-19 symptoms. If you, or anyone you live with, has one or more of these symptoms, however mild, you should not attend the event.
Long 3.6km - 28 maps, Medium 2.4km - 10 maps

Safety and Risk: A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.
Insurance: Everyone is welcome to take part in this event. However, from 1st January 2026, participants who are not members of British Orienteering will no longer be covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered by our insurance. By entering any event from 1st January 2026, you acknowledge that you are taking part at your own risk. British Orienteering’s public liability insurance used to cover non-members at events before this date.
