Many thanks to Patrick Duthie first time organiser who seamlessly put on the event with a tricky mixed urban parkland course. He did face one hiccup in that the maps didn't arrive from the printers ,thanks to Richard Foster for sorting that emergency.

Directions / Parking

Bramley Town Street (A657) is served by regular bus services.

Parking is roadside on Moorfields and nearby roads, where legal. Please show consideration to local residents.

Payment and Start/Finish will be in the park, adjacent to Moorfields.

£4.00 Seniors £2.00 Juniors. SI card hire £1. Yellow - Free including SI hire.

Payment, preferably contactless, will be on the day. Any cash payments must be for the exact sum. Change will not be given.

COVID Guidance for competitors & volunteers

Before attending any orienteering activity all participants should self-assess for Covid-19 symptoms which include: a high temperature; a new continuous cough; and a loss of, or change to, their sense of taste or smell. If you, or anyone you live with, has one or more of these symptoms, however mild, you should not attend the event.

Similarly if you have been informed that you need to self-isolate, then you must do so. We encourage competitors to try and maintain a respectful distance from one another, as infection rates remain high.

Short course for more experienced juniors, and Seniors who don't wish to do the Sprint.

Terrain Description

Parkland with some urban running. The Orange course will only cross quiet residential roads.

Safety and Risk: A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.

Insurance: Everyone is welcome to take part in this event. However, from 1st January 2026, participants who are not members of British Orienteering will no longer be covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered by our insurance. By entering any event from 1st January 2026, you acknowledge that you are taking part at your own risk. British Orienteering’s public liability insurance used to cover non-members at events before this date.
