Danefield Embargo Area
British Middle-Distance Championships
There is an embargo on the use of Danefield (Chevin Forest Park) until 27 April 2024, to be used for the British Middle-Distance Championships.
This means that there are not allowed to be any orienteering competitions in this area, or any orienteering training, organised or otherwise. Neither should competitors attempt to familiarise themselves with the area either by frequenting the path network or off-path terrain.
The sole exception to the above is participation at races which only use a marked path network, such as Chevin Chase.
It is the responsibility of competitors to declare themselves non-competitive if they break the embargo.
