Danefield Relay
A number of Airienteers raced in the short, sharp Danefield Relay on Tue 5th July
Best result of the night belonged to Leon Foster, racing for Leeds City AC. Leon anchored home by Leon finishing fourth overall, with regular wednesday event atendee Adam Osborne on the 2nd leg . Club captain Dave Alcock ran two legs for P&B (ever keen!), with a faster time on his second time round, whilst Richard Foster anchored home a North Leeds Fell Runners team in 22nd place.
Dave Murgatroyd and Bradley Dickerson teamed up with DEE's Chris Smithard to form the appropriately named "Where is Jack Wood?" team and although Chris ran the second fastest leg of the evening, Bradley couldn't quite catch Richard's North Leeds team, finishing in 24th place.
Other runners included frequent Wed sprint and Night-O participants Amicia Lee and Susan Partridge, running for the Leeds City AC Ladies' team and David Bolanos running for the North Leeds team.
A fun event and a good night out.
