Thank you to everyone who competed at this event.  I hope that those on the White course enjoyed the last few legs of being ‘funnelled’ downhill to the finish!  The Green course was physically quite tough in places – and the holly bushes had advanced to obscure an intermittent path which was on one particular route choice, but I hope that overall, it presented a fair challenge, containing a number of contouring and route-choice legs: I have a feeling that anything that Steve Whitehead likes is bound to be tough!  British team member Heather Gardner shook things up a bit at the top of the Green course, but Steve Watkins had a great run to finish 4 minutes clear.  At least one competitor had seen the event advertised on the BBC’s ‘Thrillseeker’ website, so that might be worth keeping an eye on in future.
