Thanks to all competitors for turning up on a cold night to make my planning/organising work worthwhile. You may find this hard to believe but I did try to plan the courses to avoid both the brambles and the steepest slopes! However on the night the valley sides were extremely slippery and when putting out controls I found myself sliding all over the place. No doubt you had similar problems. Also I noted that some dry re-entrants had turned into torrents; very reminiscent of the Karrimor.
