The nearest rail station is Apperley Bridge. An easy 1k walk to assembly.
The nearest buses go along the A658 Harrogate Road and A657 Carr Road/New Line
Parking is in the RH Car Park at Rawson Meadows on the north side of the River Aire (signed Woodhouse Grove School) Please do not park in Parkin Lane, Calverley Cutting or Thornhill Drive.
Payment and Start/Finish are at the entrance to the woods following Parkin Lane/Calverley Cutting, 400m walk from the car park. Take the steps at the SW corner of the car park and then first left after the bridge over the river.

Payment, preferably contactless, will be on the day. Any cash payments must be for the exact sum. Change will not be given.
Before attending any orienteering activity all participants should self-assess for Covid-19 symptoms which include: a high temperature; a new continuous cough; and a loss of, or change to, their sense of taste or smell. If you, or anyone you live with, has one or more of these symptoms, however mild, you should not attend the event.
Similarly if you have been informed that you need to self-isolate, then you must do so. We encourage competitors to try and maintain a respectful distance from one another, as infection rates remain high.
Sprint Course for Seniors
Orange course for more experienced juniors, and Seniors who don't wish to do the Sprint.
Woodland with a good path network, and quarry features in places. Bramble growth mens full leg cover is very advisable.

However, from 1st January 2026, participants who are not members of British Orienteering will no longer be covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. For example, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the event, you would not be covered by our insurance. By entering any event from 1st January 2026, you acknowledge that you are taking part at your own risk. British Orienteering’s public liability insurance used to cover non-members at events before this date.
