Baildon Results

Once again great to see a good turnout including a quite a few newcomers.

Congrats to Jonathan Binney taking the Short and to Junior Tom Threllfall on winning the medium.

On the Long David Alcock just pipped Quentin and Cerys Jones (4th overall) leading Womens performance despite suffering the weeks only reported technical hitch.

For a terrain event the Maprun seemed to work very well with only a couple of corrections necessary.

Thanks for the hard work put in on the event by planner Pete Jones and Tony Thornley assisting with the georeferencing

Further events are being planned please keep an eye on the website for details.

Terrain Description

This is proper terrain orienteering. Most of the top of the moor is runnable. Bracken and tussocks are marked on the map with the usual green line screen. The paths are invariably the best routes through these areas. There are many unmarked minor paths.

Control sites have been selected to avoid deep bracken.
